4+ Months Stats AND Cereal

Atley finally had her 4 month doctor appointment this week.  (It was canceled last week).  She is a healthy girl and growing too fast.  She weighs 14 lbs 12 oz (50%) and is 25 1/4 inches long (75%).  We also tried rice cereal for the first time last night.  I don't think she's a big fan yet, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time ;).

Snowy Sunday

This morning we woke up to white.  Not as much as we were expecting and hoping for, but enough for the kids to BEG to go outside and play.  Since we went to church last night, they were dressed (Jared too) and ready to go outside by 9 this morning.  And by 11, it was pretty much raining and they were soaked!  They made a snow fort, a snowman, threw snowballs, shoveled and took the sled down the hill a lot!  What a fun and wet morning!

Lazy Saturday

Yesterday was one of those days where we had no plans and no where to be!  The kids played nicely around the house in the morning, we went out to lunch and then decided to go to church in the evening.  I snapped a couple pictures of the kids playing.

100 Days

Ethan had his 100th day of kindergarten yesterday.  100 days of kindergarten is a big deal :)!!  He made a project for it and I was able to go help out in his classroom for their celebration.  It was a fun afternoon!
We talked about a lot of different things he could do for his project.  We ended up between something with 100 Legos or 100 colors.  In the end, he chose 100 colors!  I picked up a lot of paint chips, Ethan cut them all and glued them in groups of 10 according to their color.  He had 10 different colors, so 10 groups with 10 colors= 100 Colors!
Glueing them on the board
Finished product!
For the celebration in his classroom, they had 4 different centers.  At one, the made a fruit loop necklace with 100 fruit loops on it.  The next, they wrote all the numbers from 1 to 100 and if they completed in the allotted time, they got a 100 Grand candy bar.  After that was the 100 snacks table.  They had 10 different bowls of snacks and were to count out 10 pieces from each bowl to put in a baggie to bring home.  And at my center, we made 100 Crowns!
Putting groups of 10 links together.  And yes...he has 2 red ribbons on him!  1 for being the Role Model of the Week and one for counting to 100 by 5's!

Finished product ;)!

He came home that day with a "My 100 Book".  It's pretty cute!  Check out that picture of 105 year old Ethan!
If I had $100 I would buy..."2 $50 Lego boxs".  I'm glad I don't have 100 "sistrs".  I would eat 100 "of 50 pesis of candy and 50 cupcacs".  I would never eat 100 "bunanus".  I wish I had 100 "lego boxs".  In 100 years I will look like this.

I can't believe he is already more than half way through kindergarten!  He's such a smart kid and is learning so much everyday!  We couldn't be more proud of him :)!

4 Months

Atley Jane was 4 months old yesterday (Jan 30).  She's such a good baby and we can't imagine our lives without her!  She has her 4 month well child visit on Tuesday, so I will post weight and length after that.

Atley at 4 Months:

  • She sleeps great!  From about 9:30-7:30 (and I often have to wake her up in the mornings to get her fed before needing to get Ethan off to school).
  • She still eats every 3-4 hours- but isn't too demanding.
  • She smiles and laughs all the time!  Especially at her brother and sister, when they are dancing and laughing.
  • Her legs and neck are ticklish and her little giggle is so cute!
  • She rolls over (back to front) and doesn't immediately get mad about being on her belly.
  • She's a slobbery, wet mess!  She can soak a shirt in just a few minutes.
  • She's starting to nap quite well in her own bed (when we are home and not out and about).
  • She likes to chew/suck on her hands and anything that might be in her hands.
  • She only likes 1 type of pacifier...we've tried others and she won't have it!
We had her 4 month pictures taken earlier in the week and I already have the proofs back!  She did great!  Here are a couple from that.

I LOVE this one!  Shows off her beautiful smile.

And here are some I took yesterday!
She has started sitting in her highchair with us during meal times.  She likes being up high able to see things!
Happy girl!

Soccer Mom

We have signed Ethan and Nora up for soccer and they are both really enjoying it.  Tonight was their 2nd week and I brought my camera for some pictures.

Nora's class is first and it's adorable.  I'm not sure how much soccer she is learning, but she's running all over with her soccer ball in tow ;)!  Sometimes she kicks it and sometimes she carries it.  It's chaotic, to be honest.  But she has fun and is hot and sweaty when it's over.

Trying really hard to balance on the ball ;)

More circle time

Ethan's class is a little more organized (as it should be).  He is really learning about soccer and having a great time each week.  And he is a sweaty, red faced boy when it's all over.  The first half of his class is drills and playing different games and the second half is a little scrimmage.  (I'm hoping for better pictures of him next week...he was all the way across the court/field tonight.)

Not sure what's going on here...

Weekend up North

This past weekend we headed up to Chicago to visit our good friends the Lloyds and hit up Ikea.  Nora spent the weekend in Salem with my parents, playing with Katie and Haley (she had more fun there that she would have at Ikea, that's for sure!)  We have plans to redo our closet.  It's going to be a big project, I have a feeling.  Anyway, we drove to Ikea on Friday and spend a good 3 hours there feeling overwhelmed :/.  After that, we drove to the Lloyds where Erin had dinner ready for us :)!
I didn't take my big camera, so these are all phone pictures and not very good.  So, I apologize for that.
Ethan wanted this room :)
Atley is thrilled with her first trip to Ikea!
And this is the result of over an hour in the closet parts and pieces aisle!  NUTS!
Hopefully I'll have before and after pics of our closet.
Finally getting to the Lloyds house!  All the boys were so excited!!

Ice Cream time!
Mayleigh is growing up so much!
On Saturday, the Talty's came up to spend the rest of the weekend with the Lloyds, so we all met for lunch and them some trampoline fun at Sky Zone.
Crazy group for lunch at Portillo's!
Listening intently to the Sky Zone rules
Running off the trampolines
Crazy kid getting ready to jump in the pit!
They had a dodgeball court too.  They loved this place!

After Sky Zone, we said our goodbyes, went back to Ikea (Jared ran in for a couple things we forgot) and headed home.  It was a quick trip and a great weekend!  Can't wait to spend time with our dear friends again!
