Michigan City 2016

We made our annual(ish) trip to Michigan City, IN the first week of July.  As expected, we had a great week!  The weather was perfect.  We beached it, we pooled it, we went to a 4th of July parade, we played cards, baseball, frisbee, can-jam, golf, went for lots of golf cart rides, played at the park, went to the zoo, did a decent amount of shopping and had a great time with family!!

Enjoy some A LOT of pictures from our week at Lake Michigan!  (I'm terrible at narrowing down the pictures).

Ethan was serious about these monkey bars!  He's my little ninja warrior :).
Our house this year backed right up to the open green space park.  The Puricelli house was right across from us too!  So we definitely used that space for a lot of baseball and running around!  Our neighbors were full time residents of Beachwalk and they hosted a super fun 4th of July bike/scooter parade!

Nora- all decked out and scootering around the block for the parade
Ethan
Abby and Margo- enjoying the parade
Our scooter gang!
Our neighbors had bunnies!  The kids were very taken by these sweet things and spent a lot of time looking at them :)

And a little wiffle ball (and some standing/sitting around chatting)

Atley was so proud of herself when she stole Margo's paci
FIREWORKS!  One of the best parts of being on the lake over the 4th is walking down to the beach to watch the fireworks!  The kids were so excited about it this year!

Killing time with their glow sticks before it got dark

Nora loved it!
My cousin Tom brought a few fireworks to set off.  My other cousin, Micah was the designated firework lighter!

Ethan enjoyed them
Atley wasn't too sure what to think...
Michigan City has a fun little zoo.  So we took the kids on the last morning we had there.

Our Month of June

I haven't done very well keeping up with my blogging this summer.  So, here's a few notable moments during the month of June :)!

June 17- Lake Shelbyville
My good friend, Emily, and I took our kids to swim at the beach at Lake Shelbyville.  It was such a fun time!  (Not the cleanest beach/lake- but the kids didn't mind.)
Making sand castles
Nora, loving the water
Nora, Ethan, Atley
Atley loved it too!
Emily and I- trying not to get too wet ;)

Father's Day Weekend (June 18,19)
We went to the pool with daddy on Saturday!
Daddy makes a good pool float
Big girl, Atley, climbing out of the pool
Ethan up to his neck
Happy Father's Day, Jared!  These 3 adore their daddy :) (and he adores them back)!
June 27
The kids and I made a quick trip to Salem to see my brother and his family before they went to New York to visit more family.  It was a fast trip, but a great time!  We had an impromptu family night, playing bags (corn hole) and letting the kids ride bikes on the tennis court. (Times have changed! No way could we have EVER ridden bikes on the tennis court when we were younger!)

Nice form Ethan
