9 Months Old and Counting

Ethan is 9 months old today!  It seems like yesterday that we were anxiously awaiting his arrival (and thinking it would never come).  Again...I am amazed by everything he does.  I will post stats after his 9 month well chilid visit on Wednesday.

Grandma and Grandpa Visited!

Jared's parents, Mark and Karen, came up for a visit this afternoon. We had a great lunch and fun time playing. Ethan is so lucky to have 4 awesome grandparents to love on him every chance they get. Here are a few pictures from our afternoon.

Here are a few pictures from the past couple days around our house. On Wednesday we went to my friend and coworker, Molly's house for a little playdate (but I forgot my camera). Thursday we had a fun day of shopping! Well, I did anyway...Ethan got some fun stroller time though. And then today we've just been hanging around the house. Have a great weekend.

Just Another Monday Night...

Here are a couple pictures from our evening. Ethan loves his piano. It's just the right height for him to pull himself up to and there are all sorts of things for him to chew on. He is getting really good at crawling over to the piano and standing right up.

Nap Time...

This is how Ethan let us know he was finished napping this morning AND this afternoon. I didn't have my camera handy for the first time, but when he woke up from his second nap I was ready, just in case. He's just keeps amazing us with new things. Have a great week!

GiggleBox

Ethan got to giggling in the bathtub tonight so Jared quickly started recording. He obviously thought the bubbles were hilarious. He makes us laugh with everything he does. We just can't get enough of this kid. Enjoy!

Daredevil

The more mobile Ethan gets, the more courageous he gets. Instead of going around the basket, he just decided he would go over it...he didn't quite make it, but I snapped a couple pictures before helping him.

Ethan and the Orange Circle...

We discovered a while ago, while playing with the shapes from a shape sorter toy, that Ethan has an odd preference for the orange circle. It would never fail, when we piled up the shapes, he would move them around until he could get a good hold on the orange one and shove it into his mouth. It has been a while since we played with these toys, so today I got them back out to see if he still preferred the orange one, and...

8 Months Old!

Ethan is 8 months old today! Everything he does amazes me. I love to watch him learn and try out new things. He loves to get into everything we don't want him to get into and is quite an efficient 'army crawler'. He doesn't go back to the doctor until next month, so the measurements are, again, not very exact. Here are a couple 8 month pictures from tonight. We have such a happy boy.

Length: 27ish in.

Squibb Babies

This past weekend we headed to Salem for Kendra Squibb's baby shower (my cousin Timm's wife). I took my camera...but didn't take any pictures (thanks for the photo, Libby). The cousins that were able, made it to Salem for the event. We always have a great time when we get together, especially with all the little ones. Our family will be experience a small baby boom this coming March. Kendra is due on March 15 and, Amanda (cousin Phillip's wife) is due March 1. So after March, there will be 12 'babies' between us 10 cousins. Here are the 5 that were in town.
